AKAT PRESS RELEASE: INVESTMENTS IN FUNDS CONTINUE TO GROW
INVESTMENTS IN DOMESTIC FUNDS AND FOREIGN FUNDS OFFERED IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC REACHED CZK 387,96 BILLION AS OF 31.3.2016. INVESTMENTS INTO FUNDS STAY ON THE ALL-TIME HIGH. INVESTORS CONTINUE TO PREFER BALANCED FUNDS. INVESTMENTS OF CZECH HOUSEHOLDS ARE APPROACHING TO THE STANDARD OF THE WESTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WITH THE AIM TO PRESERVE THE VALUE OF THEIR ASSETS THROUGH INVESTMENTS. The Czech capital market association (AKAT) has published the development of the asset management, collective investment and custody in the first quarter of 2016. The total value of assets invested through the Association members into investment instruments reached CZK 1,178 trillion as of 31.3.2016. Households and institutions have saved CZK 387,96 billion in the domestic and foreign collective funds offered in the Czech Republic. The assets invested in collective investment funds increased by CZK 2,67 million in the first quarter of 2016, i.e. by 0,69% (from CZK 385,29 billion as of 31.12.2015 to CZK 387,96 billion as of 31.3.2016).With the growing number of investors, every seventh Czech citizen invests in funds.
